Shipping can be a very traumatic experience for many bassoons. With appropriate preparation, one's bassoon will arrive safe and sound. This outline is intended to review steps to insure that your bassoon is secure during the shipping process. It is based on past mistakes that have lead to additional and avoidable damage. Thank you for taking the time to review these guidelines. Please insure your instrument for theft and fire while it is being repaired and during shipping. It is cheaper to buy comprehensive insurance for a year than to insure just the shipping of a bassoon. My customers have used: 800-Vivaldi Although I recommend you insure your own instrument, if you cannot, I can arrange for coverage while it is being shipped at an extra cost.
