To keep your bassoon in good working order it is recommended that you have it serviced annually. This means; checking and replacing (if needed) the bassoon's corks, pads and tenon wrappings, adjusting play in the key work, and oiling the mechanism. During the process the instrument is thoroughly cleaned and the linkages adjusted.

Customization
The bassoon's complicated fingering system has lead to many different approaches or “schools” of bassoon playing. It is common for players to want to change a bassoon from one school to another. Adding that trill key that you have always wanted, changing an antiquated key system or creating a tailored solution to a fingering problem, is our specialty.
Restoration
For the aging great bassoons restoration can be valuable. Replacing the finish and resurfacing the keywork can bring one of these instruments to a new generation.
